🌿  Marysville: A Relaxing Alpine Escape.

Marysville is one of Victoria’s most inviting nature‑based destinations — a peaceful village surrounded by towering mountain ash forests, cascading waterfalls, and crisp alpine air. Set in the foothills of Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, it’s a favourite for families, outdoor lovers, and anyone wanting a refreshing break from city life.

A village rebuilt with heart: After the 2009 Black Saturday fires, Marysville was lovingly restored. Today, Murchison Street is lined with welcoming cafés, a patisserie, boutique shops, and the ever‑popular  lolly shop.

🌿  Bruno’s Art & Sculpture Garden: Marysville’s Most Enchanting Attraction.

Bruno’s Art & Sculpture Garden is a whimsical, immersive outdoor gallery tucked into the rainforest. More than 170 hand‑crafted sculptures — expressive faces, mythical creatures, and life‑sized characters — are hidden among ferns, ponds, and winding paths. The experience feels like stepping into a storybook world shaped entirely by the imagination of artist Bruno Torfs.

The garden is also a symbol of resilience. After being destroyed in the 2009 Black Saturday fires, Bruno rebuilt the entire collection from scratch. Today, it’s one of Marysville’s top‑rated attractions, consistently earning high visitor reviews.

🌊  Steavenson Falls:  One of Victoria’s Tallest and Most Loved Waterfalls

Steavenson Falls is an 84‑metre cascade set in lush forest just a few minutes from Marysville’s town centre. First opened to visitors in 1866, it remains one of Victoria’s most visited natural attractions thanks to its easy access, dramatic scenery, and peaceful walking tracks.

• Short, easy walk: A flat, well‑formed 700‑metre path leads from the carpark to the main viewing platform, making it ideal for all ages and mobility levels.

• Impressive height: The waterfall drops 84 metres, placing it among the tallest in Victoria.

• Beautiful forest setting: Tall mountain ash, ferns, and the Steavenson River create a classic Marysville rainforest atmosphere.

Gallipoli Park

Right in the heart of Marysville, Gallipoli Park is a beautifully restored community space featuring tranquil gardens, a scenic lake, Old Water Wheel, fast flowing shallow river, bushfire victim's memorial and the popular Kin Playspace. Visitors can enjoy gentle riverside walks, picnic areas, BBQ shelters, and reflective sculptures that celebrate the town’s resilience. Its flat paths, central location, and peaceful atmosphere make it an ideal stop.

🌼  The Lake Mountain Summit in Summer.

The Lake Mountain Summit Walk is a short, rewarding alpine trail offering sweeping views across the Victorian Alps and the Yarra Ranges. It’s one of the easiest ways for visitors to experience true alpine scenery without needing specialist gear or long hikes.

Key Features

• Easy, family‑friendly walk: The Summit Walk is described as an easy trail, taking around 40 minutes return, with some gentle steep sections.

• Spectacular views: Multiple lookouts provide views north to the Alps and south toward Marysville.

• Snowgum woodlands: The trail winds through classic alpine snowgum country, offering a very different landscape to Marysville below.

We will also visit a breathtaking  mystery lookout!

Includes complimentary morning Tea/Coffee & Cakes/Biscuits.
